Why Book at Trip.com?

Trip.com sells flights, hotels, trains, car rentals, attractions, tours and eSIMs from one account. For Philippine bookers its advantage is not one headline price. It is how separate perks layer: first-booking coupons, bank card offers and Trip Coins that can be used alongside promo codes.

As of October 23, 2026, Trip.com's own Philippines promo page lists:

• Up to 10% off a first hotel booking, 8% off car rental with code TRIPCAR8, 5% off a first tour, attraction or eSIM booking and 3% off a first China train ticket, all to December 31, 2026.

• Card offers from banks including Metrobank, BPI, BDO, UnionBank, EastWest, Security Bank and Globe, also to December 31, 2026.

• Trip Coins, worth about 0.2% back on flights and 0.5% on hotels, which can be used together with promo codes.

Flights

Trip.com's flight savings come from first-booking discounts, destination-specific promo codes and sales from selected airlines. Current offers include up to ₱400 off your first flight booking, 10% off flights to Hong Kong with code WFNBXYNNBN, and additional deals on selected airlines. Check each offer's eligibility, minimum spend and validity period before booking, as availability and terms may vary.

Flights also earn 20 Trip Coins per US$100 spent, adding a small reward to eligible bookings.

Hotels

The first-booking offer is up to 10% off, tied to downloading the app, registering and booking, with a cap that depends on your region. Hotels earn 50 Trip Coins per US$100, more than flights. Trip.com's global first-time guide, which is not specific to one market, also lists a 5% second-booking discount and up to 6% off 3-night stays, but neither appears on Trip.com's Philippines promo or hotel pages, so do not plan around them. The cap is a US dollar amount that depends on your region. The Philippines pages do not publish it, and the guide says the exact figure is on your My Promo Codes page.

Trains

China trains carry 3% off a first ticket on the Philippines promo page. The global first-time guide also lists 5% off Japan Rail, capped at about US$4.50, and says the Japan Pass is not available through that offer, but the Philippines promo page lists no Japan Rail offer, so do not plan a rail pass purchase around a coupon.

Car Rentals and Airport Transfers

TRIPCAR8 gives 8% off car rental until December 31, 2026. It works for car rental only.

Trip.com's Philippines promo page lists no separate airport transfer promo as of October 25, 2026.

Attractions, Tours and eSIMs

A one-click coupon gives 5% off a first tour, attraction or eSIM booking, and it must be redeemed within 3 days after you claim it. Claim it when you are ready to book, not days earlier.

How to Spend Less at Trip.com

The order matters, because several discounts only work if you claim them first.

1. Claim before you book. Coupons marked Claim Below & Auto Apply have to be claimed first, and the tour and attraction coupon expires 3 days after you claim it.

2. Match the offer to the category. Hotel, car rental, tour, eSIM and train offers are separate, and each is for a first booking in that category.

3. Compare the card offer with the coupon. Metrobank, BPI and EastWest publish their codes and terms, and each bars combining the code with other promotions, so choose the bank code or the coupon, not both. For BDO and the other banks, Trip.com lists only the headline rate, so read the bank's terms before you pay.

4. Add Trip Coins. Trip.com says coins can be used together with promo codes or seasonal discounts, and 100 coins are worth about US$1.

5. Time the booking. TRIPtacular vouchers drop at 12 AM, 12 PM and 9 PM on the 1st to 3rd of each month, and Exclusive Member Day falls on the 27th.

Example: a ₱20,000 hotel stay with a 10% first-booking coupon saves up to ₱2,000 before the regional cap, and earns Trip Coins worth about ₱100 (0.5%). The coupon is the bigger saving, which is why claiming it first matters.

Trip.com's 2026 Philippines calendar so far, from its own pages and local coverage:

• 7.7 Mega Sale, July 7 to 10: timed flight flash sales on July 7, hotels from ₱77, ₱1,000 off flights with a ₱8,000 minimum and ₱1,000 off hotels with a ₱6,000 minimum on July 7, then 8% off flights and 10% off hotels, each capped at ₱1,500, from July 8 to 10.

• 9.9 Mega Sale, to September 12: flights from ₱499 and up to ₱3,000 off on selected airlines.

• BER Months Early Access, to September 30: flights and hotels from ₱999.

• Mid-Month Payday, January to December: up to 50% off flights and hotels, with no specific day listed.

• Every month: TRIPtacular vouchers on the 1st to 3rd and Exclusive Member Day on the 27th.

Booking Tips Before Checkout

• Check the category before you pay. A hotel coupon does not discount a flight, and TRIPCAR8 works on car rental only.

• Look at the promo line on the payment page. Trip.com applies the best available coupon automatically, and you can switch from the Promo Codes link at the bottom of the booking page.

• Compare the free-cancellation rate with the non-refundable one. Free cancellation applies to eligible bookings only, and the deadline is shown on the rate.

• For a first hotel stay, download the app and register before you book, since the offer is tied to both.

• If you pay by card, read the bank's terms for minimum spend and cap first. Trip.com's page lists the headline rate only.

• Check the end date. The first-booking and card offers listed in this section run to December 31, 2026.

How to Redeem a Trip.com Promo Code

Trip.com handles codes and coupons from your account, not only at payment. This is the flow in Trip.com's first-time promo guide, which is a global page dated May 12, 2026 and updated since. Trip.com's Philippines pages do not describe the menus separately.

1. In the app, open Account, then Promo Code. Type a code such as TRIPCAR8, or tap Claim on a banner in the Deals section.

2. On the website, click the Account icon at the top right and open My Promo Codes. Enter a code or pick one from the Available list.

3. Book as usual. At checkout, tick the Promotions box before you pay.

4. Trip.com applies the best available coupon automatically. To use a different one, tap Promo Codes at the bottom of the booking page.

5. Check that the discount shows in your total before you enter payment details.

There is currently no sitewide flight promo code for Trip.com Philippines. However, travelers can use code WFNBXYNNBN to get 10% off flights to Hong Kong, valid until January 14, 2027.

Other flight savings are available through first-booking discounts of up to ₱400 and from sale promotions such as airline sales and Mid-Month Payday (up to 50% off flights and hotels, January to December 2026), from bank card offers, and from Trip Coins earned on bookings. To check a flight promo code, open your Trip.com profile and go to Promo Codes. Enter the code to see whether it can be added to your account. If successfully saved, the voucher should appear in your available promo codes. When booking an eligible flight, select the available voucher and confirm that the discount appears in the final price before payment. If the code is expired or your booking does not meet its terms, the voucher may not be accepted or applied.

2. Is Trip.com cheaper than booking directly with an airline or hotel?

Trip.com can be a smart way to save on your next trip, especially when you combine first-booking coupons, eligible bank card offers and Trip Coins. You can earn rewards worth about 0.2% back on flights and 0.5% on hotels, giving you more value from eligible bookings.

Before you book, compare Trip.com's final price with the airline's or hotel's direct rate, including baggage, taxes, fees and applicable discounts. Check cancellation terms, too, and compare the same fare class or room type to make sure you're getting the best overall deal.

3. How do I get the Trip.com first-time user discount?

Create a new Trip.com account, log in, and claim each first-booking offer before you book. The offers are separate by category, so one claim does not cover another.

• Hotels: up to 10% off your first booking (download the app, register and book), to December 31, 2026.

• Car rental: 8% off with code TRIPCAR8, to December 31, 2026.

• Tours, attractions and eSIMs: 5% off a first booking, redeemed within 3 days after claiming.

The hotel offer is capped at an amount that depends on your region, so a large booking saves less than 10% of the total. The cap is a US dollar amount that the Philippines page does not publish, so check My Promo Codes after you claim.

4. Why is my Trip.com promo code not working?

It is usually the booking that does not meet the offer's terms, not the code itself.

• The booking total is under the offer's minimum spend.

• It is a first-booking offer and your account has already booked in that category, or you are not logged into a new account.

• A tour or attraction coupon was not redeemed within 3 days of claiming.

• You are booking outside the coupon's category. Hotel, car rental, tour, train and eSIM offers are separate.

• The Promotions box is not ticked at checkout, or a different coupon was applied automatically. Tap Promo Codes on the booking page to switch.

• The offer is capped, so the discount looks smaller than the headline percentage on a large booking.

5. Which banks and cards have Trip.com discounts in the Philippines?

Trip.com's Philippines page, updated October 23, 2026, lists card offers from banks including Metrobank, BPI, BDO, UnionBank, EastWest, Security Bank and Globe, to December 31, 2026. Only some of them publish terms.

• Metrobank: ₱2,500 off flights with code MBTRIPFLYQ4 or hotels with MBTRIPHTLQ4, for bookings from October 1 to December 31, 2026. It needs a ₱15,000 single-receipt minimum before taxes and fees and a Metrobank credit card, not debit or prepaid. Each code is one use per Trip.com account and limited to 262 uses.

• BPI: 5% off hotels with BPITRIPSTAY and 1% off flights with BPITRIPFLY1, or 2% for new Trip.com users with BPITRIPFLY2, for bookings from January 12 to December 31, 2026. BPI's page states no minimum spend and no cap, and lists the eligible BPI credit cards.

• EastWest: 5% off hotels with EWTRIPH, 1.5% off flights with EWTRIPF, and ₱200 off flights with an ₱8,000 minimum for new users with EWTRIPFSNEW, from February 1 to December 31, 2026, on EastWest credit cards booked through EastWest's Trip.com link.

• BDO, UnionBank, Security Bank and Globe: Trip.com lists up to 7% off hotels and 2% off flights for BDO, up to 6% and 1.5% for UnionBank, 5% and up to 2% for Security Bank, and up to 7% and 1% for Globe. Their terms were not published on the pages checked, and the BDO Trip.com pages found were sale windows that have ended.

The Metrobank, BPI and EastWest terms all bar combining the code with other promotions. Trip.com's page also lists BPI Mastercard Platinum at 15% off to December 31, 2026, but BPI's own Mastercard Platinum page shows a promo period of October 15 to December 31, 2025, so confirm with BPI before you rely on it.

6. How much are Trip Coins worth?

100 Trip Coins are worth about US$1, which works out to roughly 0.2% back on flights and 0.5% on hotels.

Trip.com's Philippines help page, last updated October 14, 2025, lists 20 coins per US$100 spent on flights and 50 coins per US$100 on hotels, and converts 100 coins to about ₱58. The peso has moved since then, with 2026 quotes around ₱61 to ₱64 per US dollar, so expect a little more. Coins from hotel and flight bookings expire 18 months after they reach your account.

Example: a ₱20,000 hotel stay earns coins worth about ₱100, and a ₱20,000 flight earns coins worth about ₱40.

7. Can I use more than one Trip.com coupon, or a coupon with Trip Coins?

Plan on one coupon per booking, with Trip Coins on top.

Trip.com's global guide says the best available coupon is applied automatically at payment, and that you can tap Promo Codes at the bottom of the booking page to switch between available discounts. Trip.com's Philippines help page says Trip Coins can be used together with promo codes or seasonal discounts, and that the maximum number of coins you can apply may vary with current promotions.

A bank card code does not stack with a platform coupon, because the Metrobank, BPI and EastWest terms all bar combining the code with other promotions. Trip.com's guides do not say whether two platform coupons can apply to one booking.

8. When do Trip.com vouchers and deals drop each month?

Trip.com runs a monthly rhythm: vouchers at the start of the month, a Member Day on the 27th and a mid-month payday sale.

• TRIPtacular: vouchers released at 12 AM, 12 PM and 9 PM on the 1st to 3rd of each month.

• Exclusive Member Day: the 27th of each month, with Trip Coin rebates and flash sales.

• Mid-Month Payday: up to 50% off flights and hotels, listed for January to December 2026 with no specific day or minimum spend published.

9. Is a flat peso code or a percentage offer better?

Flat codes win on small bookings and percentages win on large ones, unless the percentage is capped.

Example: a ₱500 code against a 10% offer ties at ₱5,000. On a ₱3,000 booking the code saves ₱500 (16.7%) against ₱300. On an ₱8,000 booking the percentage saves ₱800 against ₱500.

Divide each discount by your booking total, then check the cap and the minimum spend before you choose.

10. Does Trip.com offer free cancellation?

Only on eligible bookings, so it depends on the fare or room rate you pick.

Before you pay, compare the free-cancellation rate with the non-refundable one, which is often cheaper, and note the cancellation deadline shown on the rate.
